“Step it up and Dance.”

I’m so glad my friend Tonya posted  about Bravo TV’s new dance show, “Step it Up and Dance.” I agree with her opinions completely.

The day after it premiered I called Dione for her consensus.

“Bor-ring,” we said simultaneously.

Despite one celebrity appearence, that was the most tepid pilot of a show ever. Why no costumes for their first performance? Everything was comparable to an average dance class–audiences don’t want that, they want a show. Lights, everything. Also, why were audiences given so little time to see the dancers perform solo? And why did the whole thing seem so low budget?

Perhaps we’ll see more in later episodes. I’m going to give it one more try. My hope? That they give them a variety of dance styles, and better challenges.
