Another blogger introduced me to Danill Simkin, a young dancer with the Vienna Opera Ballet. According to some, You Tube has been a major pathway to his success. Virtually every performance of himself available to watch on his personal website.

Today I caught “Prague Ballet Gala” on CUNY, and was so excited that Daniil was dancing with his father in “My Way.” This prompted me to search online for any new videos of him, and through that found his blog!  

He posts often, answers questions from fans and like Facebook, updates his “status” on the right hand side of the page with things like “Daniil is…sleeping…” or “Daniil is…vacuum cleaning his apartment and mentally preparing himself for the performance tonight of pas de trois in Paquita…” etc. Very cool.

I love to see prominent people blogging well, and not being afraid to share their lives with their fans!
