Yesterday I received a text-message from “Mr. Famous Dancer”during a run to Jamba Juice. We confirmed plans for our tour of New York State Theatre, right before an evening NYCB performance.

Dione and I have been discussing “the tour” since early November and spoke of it today in detail. We planned music to get ready to and I recited a few phrases for when, or if, I met Wendy Whelan so that I wouldn’t sound like a fool (she’s supposed to be dancing that night).

Later in the week we’ve been invited to attend a rehearsal of Peter Martin’s “Romeo + Juliet.” Topping off my week I’ll attend another performance with the same cast that Saturday afternoon to celebrate my new independence in the city.
